Welcome to the Spring 2013 Semester at Roseville Adult School. Roseville Adult School is 92 years old this school year and continues to provide quality classes taught by credentialed teachers using standards based instructional materials. As part of the Roseville Joint Union High School District, we are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the premier accrediting agency for public and private schools. We have strong connections within the Roseville community and appreciate our partner’s support providing class locations and other resources for our school.
Despite funding cutbacks, over 2300 students attended classes for high school completion, GED® preparation, English as a Second Language, U. S. Citizenship, computer education and parent education. Roseville Adult School had 45 graduates and 256 students who completed the GED in the 2011-12 school year. Our partnership with District high schools also provides an opportunity for credit deficient high school seniors to graduate on-time with their classmates.
Roseville Adult School offers educational opportunities for individuals who need their diplomas or GED certificates for employment, adults who are developing their computer skills and immigrants who are learning English to help their children with schoolwork or have the goal of becoming a United States Citizen. As California moves to implement the Common Core standards, know that Roseville Adult School is participating in this implementation and expanding the use of technology to meet the needs of our learners.
High school diploma students who complete their graduation requirements by May 28, 2013 are invited to participate in our cap and gown ceremony on June 1, 2013. Our staff members all look forward to providing the opportunities of continuing education for our students. Please contact our staff or myself if you have any questions or want additional information about our many programs.
See you in class!
